About Us

Outdoor event space with a scenic mountain backdrop. — Flagstaff Elks Lodge #499
Outdoor event space with a scenic mountain backdrop.

At 2101 N San Francisco St, the Flagstaff Elks Lodge #499 sits where ponderosa pines frame a backyard view that stops people mid-sentence. Couples have chosen this spot for their weddings precisely because of that backdrop, and photographers who work here consistently note how rare it is to find a venue that feels simultaneously rooted in community and wide open to the surrounding San Francisco Peaks landscape. The 4.6-star rating across 160 reviews is not accidental.

Founded as part of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #499 has long served Flagstaff as a gathering place where membership means something tangible: a friendly bar with fair prices, volunteers who actually show up, and a hall that hosts everything from intimate receptions to large community dinners. Bob and the events team have earned specific praise for making outside guests feel as welcomed as longtime members.

What sets this lodge apart from a generic banquet hall is the culture inside. The people pouring your drink are neighbors. The food is prepared with care. The back patio view reminds you that Flagstaff is unlike anywhere else in Arizona, sitting high in the mountains where the air is cool and the forest is close enough to hear.

What We Offer

Lodge #499 offers a full-service bar staffed by friendly volunteers who keep prices honest and pours generous. Weekly dinners and member events give regulars a reliable reason to gather, while the lodge's event spaces are available for private rentals including weddings, receptions, reunions, and organizational meetings.

The event coordinator team handles venue logistics with experience that shows. Recent weddings have drawn praise for smooth coordination, stunning outdoor photo opportunities against the forest backdrop, and a staff that stays attentive without hovering. Catering support, bar service, and setup assistance are available depending on the event package.

Membership in the Elks brings its own set of benefits: access to the lodge's social calendar, discounted rates on private events, participation in community charitable programs, and the straightforward pleasure of having a local spot where people know your name and the tab is reasonable.

"I was hired as a wedding photographer for a couple. This place was conveniently located, had the earmarks of an Elk's Lodge but had the open-country location which made it feel like you were really at a Lodge! Expansive space for a reception and a great outdoor space for ceremony, lawn games and gathering of guests. Ample, convenient parking too."

"Highly Recommend the Flagstaff Elks Lodge! We had the pleasure of attending an event at the Flagstaff Elks Lodge yesterday, and it was an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was clear right away that this organization is built on community, service, and camaraderie. We learned so much about the Elks and the positive impact they have on Flagstaff and the surrounding areas. A big thank you to Felipe, who took the time to explain the Elks’ mission and the many ways they support local causes. We also joined the Flagstaff Elk Riders for a poker run on motorcycles—it was a blast! Great times with great people who are genuinely committed to giving back. If you’re looking for a place that combines fun, friendship, and real community service, the Flagstaff Elks Lodge is it. They support us—let’s support them right back!"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
